Happy Birthday to my little girl Nicole!! She’s such a wonderful girl and each year she grows and becomes more and more of a young lady. Although her birthday this year is overshadowed somewhat by her great-grandparents passing, it’s also a celebration of the continuation of life and family ties.

In a bittersweet ending, we find ourselves mourning the loss of both Grandpa and Grandma Wells (Bruce’s maternal grandparents).
Grandpa passed away early in the morning this past Thursday, followed shortly after by Grandma, who passed on around 1pm Friday of a ‘broken heart’. My Mom was there with Grandma and told her that she didn’t need to do anything–that she could go be with Grandpa, and that Roger (my Uncle) and Mom would be okay. Grandma calmed right down, fell into a gentle sleep and within just a few minutes went to her heavenly home with Grandpa.
So sad, but amazingly sweet at the same time. Speaks stronger then any words could of the love they had for each other for over 30 years.
Love the ones you have, you never know when they’ll be gone. Grandma & Grandpa, you will be dearly missed.

Courtney is now 15 years old…wow! Time sure moves along whether we’re paying attention or not. As of 2:38am this morning, we welcomed Courtney into our lives. 15 years later she continues to be a joy and a blessing in our lives.

Wow — Alec is turning 16 today! Which somehow turned immediately into “needing” a drivers license and a car…hmmmm. Not sure we’re ready for that! Hard to believe that in 2 1/2 years, Alec will be 18, graduating High School and become fully responsible for himself and his own decisions in life.
Where’s the little boy that loved Harry Potter and playing Sim City?
How time flies… *sigh*

Today Alec turns 15.
Becoming a mother was the BEST life changing experience I have ever had. Nothing in this world is as rewarding and yet so frustrating all at the same time.
I am so proud of Alec!!
